Vintage with a Contemporary Eye
For us, vintage is not simply about age or rarity. It is about presence, craftsmanship, and narrative. Each object carries a history and brings a layer of depth that new pieces alone cannot achieve.
Our galerie grew organically from our interior design practice. Over the years, we began sourcing distinctive vintage pieces for projects — sculptural seating, rare lighting, patinated tables, and collectible objects — that clients often wanted to acquire directly.
Today, this curated selection forms the Galerie collection, an evolving edit of pieces that reflect the same sensibility that defines our interiors: refined, soulful, and timeless.
Rather than approaching vintage through a purely historical lens, our selection is guided by how pieces live within modern spaces.
We are drawn to works that feel sculptural yet restrained, tactile yet quiet — pieces that can anchor a room without overwhelming it. The collection spans a range of eras and influences, including:

New York Galerie
Our private galerie in West Chelsea serves as the New York home for a rotating selection of vintage pieces and collectible design objects. The space operates by appointment and functions as both a showroom and a creative studio environment where pieces are staged within interior settings.
San Francisco Showroom
A selection of our pieces is also presented at the Scott & Cooner showroom in San Francisco, where they can be experienced within a larger design context. The showroom is open to the public by appointment.
Sourced for Interiors
Unlike traditional galleries, the frenchCALIFORNIA Galerie is shaped through the lens of interior design. Every piece we offer has been chosen with the intention of being lived with — placed within real homes, layered with art, textiles, and architecture.
Many items in the collection have been sourced originally for interior projects and later made available through the galerie. Others are discovered during sourcing trips and brought into the collection because they embody the spirit of the studio.
The result is a selection that feels collected rather than catalogued.
