The Team unveils 12 Warren’s first furnished interiors, complete with bluestone accents

Design-led US developer DDG already has a few boutique residential schemes in New York under its belt – think XOCO 325’s sculptural façade on West Broadway - and 12 Warren is the latest addition to its portfolio.

Featuring work by design company The Future Perfect and furniture and homeware by Shanghai-based architects and designers Neri & Hu – many of which are exclusively made pieces – the project’s fully furnished model apartment has just been unveiled, reflecting DDG’s ethos for handcrafted and artisanal details, such as its characteristic rough-hewn bluestone exterior.

Like with many a DDG designs, it’s hard to miss 12 Warren’s striking frontage. The hand-laid surface uses stone sourced from upstate New York. The bluestone cladding also continues into the lobby, where the developer has hung a piece by fine art photographer Jacqueline Hassink depicting the stone quarry where the material came from, celebrating bluestone.

Inside, the TriBeCa development includes 13 units, ranging from duplex and triplexes, and from two to four bedrooms. Flooded with light coming in from large 7ft tall windows, the show apartment is styled with refined pieces that combine a range of materials with a global bent, such a solid timber dining table, a Danish oiled walnut cabinet, and brass- and copper-topped side tables. Fitted elements, such as the DDG-designed kitchen (complete with white oak cabinetry, marble countertops and Gaggenau appliances) and the custom Carrara marble bathroom, underline the interior’s sense of luxury.

Matching its carefully thought out residential spaces with top-notch services, the development boasts a private fitness centre for residents. Reclaimed wood flooring and exposed brick masonry dominate there, complemented by board-formed concrete details. A landscaped roof terrace and concierge service are also within the amenities on offer.

The scheme’s bluestone façade is one of its defining, standout features.

The space features carefully selected designs by The Future Perfect and Neri & Hu.

The apartment was created with an emphasis on handcraft and artisanal detailing, so several of the pieces were especially made for the project.
