frenchCALIFORNIA brings contemporary design concept to 100 Franklin Street, a razor-edged brick building in the Tribeca Historic District.

The lot, which was formerly a parking facility, is now home to two triangular buildings linked together by an intricate brick facade by Danish designer Petersen Tegl, wedging itself perfectly into this sliver of city space.

100 Franklin features 10 private full-floor homes, one of which was staged by frenchCALIFORNIA in partnership with The Future Perfect to emphasize the building’s daring architecture.

FEATURED IN

frenchCALIFORNIA and THE FUTURE PERFECT brought a uniquely modern aesthetic to Tribeca.

This marks the first time that Alhadeff, known for moving into his Casa Perfect galleries in Beverly Hills and Greenwich Village, has furnished a residential building.

With the help of brands like Chris Wolston and Charles De Lisle, Alhadeff lends a modern touch to this historic district building.

“100 Franklin is a jewel box. The building is flatiron shaped and we decided to emphasize this by drawing your eye straight to the northern corner with a mobile from artist Karl Zahn. The curtains by Calico emulate the sunrise. The soft neutral palette of De La Espada furniture sets the tone- enveloping one in a warm, luxurious, and ultimately comfortable space to call home."

Using a soft neutral palette, the team designed luxurious but comfortable spaces that feel like a welcoming home. The intent was to make each space uniquely its own without making it seem as though it is a museum.

Bringing together work from a wide range of artists from Turkish studio Autoban to London designer Michael Anastassiades, the project incorporated regional diversity to give the apartment a real-life feel. Handpicked pieces filled the entire space with the goal of giving visitors the feeling as though they could kick off their shoes and live there.

The model residence was featured in major outlets like ELLE Decor, Cottages & Gardens, and DEZEEN.

The open-plan public area occupies a triangular space with pale wood flooring and white walls. The room is dressed with an eclectic mix of furnishings that align with the building's exterior, which features a merging of contemporary and classical elements.

frenchCALIFORNIA's partnership with DDG was a stunning success.

With positive feedback from the international press, art collectors, and real estate professionals, the model residence is a project for design and real estate lovers.
