Skylight Reverie at 111 Murray
NEW YORK
Set within 111 Murray Street, this Tribeca residence was envisioned as a study in warmth, restraint, and architectural softness.
Drawing inspiration from the tower’s sculptural glass façade, luminous interiors, and refined material palette, frenchCALIFORNIA approached the staging as an extension of the architecture itself — creating an atmosphere that felt elevated, emotionally grounded, and deeply residential rather than overtly decorative.
INTIMACY & DEPTH
The residence’s sweeping curved glazing and extraordinary natural light became the foundation of the design narrative. Rather than competing with the architecture or relying on overly formal staging gestures, the interiors were intentionally composed to feel calm, collected, and quietly luxurious.
Soft contemporary forms, layered neutrals, sculptural silhouettes, and organic textures were used to balance the scale and openness of the apartment. Rounded furniture profiles subtly echoed the building’s flowing geometry, while warm woods, tactile fabrics, and tonal contrasts introduced intimacy and depth throughout the space.

LIVABLE BEAUTY
Particular attention was given to creating emotional resonance within the apartment — spaces that photographed beautifully while still feeling believable and livable. Every moment was designed to encourage a sense of ease: a quieter interpretation of downtown luxury living that prioritizes atmosphere as much as aesthetics.
The design language remained intentionally restrained:
warm tonal layering
softened modernism
European influences
sculptural simplicity
tactile materiality
understated luxury
